Ἀπήγγειλεν ἡμῖν Κλημάτιος τῶν εἰωθότων τι θρασύ-
νεσθαί τινας κατὰ σοῦ καὶ μηδενὸς φείδεσθαι ῥήματος. ἐμὲ
δὲ οὐ τὸ τοῦ πράγματος εἰωθὸς παρεμυθεῖτο μᾶλλον ἢ τὸ
μηδὲ παύσασθαι ἐθέλειν πρᾶγμα οὕτως ἄδικον.
ἐδακνό-
μην οὗν οὐδὲ ἔχαιρον ἔξω βελῶν ὤν, ἀλλ’ ὅτι μὴ φίλῳ παρῆν,
ἤλγουν. ἡγοῦμαι μέντοι τὰ νῦν οὐ σφόδρα ὑμῶν ἀποστατεῖν
ἥκοντος ὑμῖν Ὀλυμπίου τοῦ καλοῦ δικάσαι τε ἀγαθοῦ καὶ
ἐλευθέρως θέσθαι ψῆφον καὶ νικῆσαι τὸν ἀδικοῦντα καὶ μετὰ
τῶν ὑβρισμένων γενέσθαι. τὰ δ’ ἡμέτερα μεγάλα τε ἐποίησε
καὶ μηνύσει πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἃ πεποίηκεν.
