Letter 833

To Anastasius the Monk. Do not be eager to be quickly rid of your anxiety over trials and afflictions; bear them, and endure until such time as Christ, who provides for you and who wisely orders the things that concern you, shall will it.

Μὴ θέλε ταχὺ ἀπομεριμνῆσαι πειρασμῶν καὶ θλί- ψεων, στέγε, καὶ ὑπόμενε μέχρις ὅτου βούλεται ὁ προνοῶν σου Χριστὸς, ὁ σοφῶς τὰ κατὰ σὲ οἰκονο- μῶν.
